Duty / Import tax / GST
Although OzImport is European-based company, we happily adopted the Australian ‘no worries’ mentality.
That means that we don’t want you to worry about anything, especially not about paying taxes.
OzImport will take care of any duty, import taxes and GST.
You won’t have to pay for any extras!
Items are divided into 2 categories:
Items with a "100% Tax FREE" icon:

These products have a customs value below $1,000. Australian Customs won't claim any GST or import taxes on items with a customs value below $1,000. The customs value is the price you pay, minus the actual cost we pay to ship the item to Australia. So if you for example see the “100% Tax FREE” icon listed with an oven which costs $1350, the actual shipping cost will be more than $350. You won’t be paying any import taxes for these products, as long as you order only one product at a time. This because Customs might accumulate the customs values of multiple shipments to the same destination. The easiest way to avoid this, is to ship each item to a separate address, or to order only one item at a time. When we receive multiple “Tax Free” orders, we will ship them one by one. |

These products have a customs value above $1,000. Normally you would have to pay 5% import tax + 10% GST to Australian Customs when importing these kind of products. However, when ordering with OzImport, we will pay these taxes for you. |
